Active in plant breeding since 1996 - initially with a focus on sunflowers, later diversified to include sunflowers, chia, soybeans and other legumes. Responsible for the winter breeding garden for sunflowers in South Africa until 2008. After that, the winter breeding garden was relocated to Chile (where I trained the local specialists). My areas of responsibility include drawing up sowing plans, sowing, carrying out plant protection measures (chemical and mechanical), harvesting and the statistical evaluation and calculation of the collected data. I use my experience to optimize the existing technical infrastructure and technical work processes.
